Cribs: "Our Bovine Public" (2007)

A kid I went to college with turned me onto this trio of brothers. Their album Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever is a classic. Not one bad track.

You know what The Cribs is? They're like Hanson. But with talent.

Arctic Monkeys: "A Certain Romance" (2006)

This week, I'm going to have the theme of Active U.K. Artists. For a change, I have the whole week mapped out, so I'm gonna post the bands alphabetically.

First up is the Arctic Monkeys. Their debut CD, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, is unbelievable. "A Certain Romance" is the final track -- a bonus, I think. Love the lines that rhyme "Sherlock Holmes" and "ring tones".
