Finished reading it last night. I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Probably would have liked it more if I was a fan of late '60s rock and/or roll. Interesting characters, though too many cameos from real rock stars to make it believable. However, I did like the appearance of some characters from his other novels, like Cloud Atlas and Bone Clocks. The Guardian's review nailed it.
